Key Features & Performance Benefits
1. High-Strength Premium Steel Construction
Built from high-strength premium steel, the ladder is designed for the repeated loads, vibration, and demanding conditions associated with serious off-road and overland travel.
Instead of relying on oversized sections to achieve structural rigidity, the steel construction allows the ladder to use a strong, compact, and weight-conscious design. The result is a rear ladder that feels solid underfoot while avoiding unnecessary material and bulk.
For Grenadier owners looking for a heavy-duty steel ladder with a premium finish and expedition-focused construction, this design delivers the balance of strength, stability, durability, and optimized weight required for real-world use.
2. 100% No-Drill, Factory-Point Installation
No drilling. No cutting. No permanent modification to your Grenadier.
This INEOS Grenadier rear door ladder is engineered to align with the vehicle’s original factory mounting points, providing a secure bolt-on installation while helping preserve the integrity of the bodywork.
Unlike universal rear ladders that may require custom drilling or improvised brackets, this vehicle-specific system is designed around the Grenadier from the beginning.
The result is a cleaner installation, better alignment, and a more factory-style appearance.
3. Integrated Jerry Can Holder
The integrated Jerry Can mount transforms the ladder into more than simply a roof-access solution.
Designed to accommodate a standard 20L Jerry Can, the carrier provides convenient external storage for additional fuel or water during long-distance touring, camping, and remote expeditions.
Keeping reserve fuel outside the passenger and cargo area also helps free up valuable interior storage space for camping equipment, recovery gear, tools, and other essentials.
For remote travel where fuel stations can be hundreds of miles apart, an externally mounted Jerry Can can provide valuable additional range and peace of mind.
4. Easier Roof Rack & Rooftop Tent Access
Accessing the top of a Grenadier without a proper ladder can mean stepping on the tire, bumper, or other unstable surfaces.
This ladder provides a dedicated climbing path for reaching:
- Roof racks
- Rooftop tents
- Cargo boxes
- Recovery boards
- Awning systems
- Expedition gear
- Roof-mounted storage
- Camping equipment
The climbing geometry is designed to provide comfortable footing and more natural access to the roof compared with improvised climbing methods.
Whether you are setting up an RTT / rooftop tent, loading gear onto a Grenadier roof rack, or retrieving recovery equipment on the trail, the ladder gives you a stable and repeatable access point.
5. Weight-Optimized Steel Design
Steel is often chosen for demanding off-road structures because of its excellent strength, rigidity, and fatigue resistance.
Our design takes advantage of high-strength premium steel to create a structure that can remain strong without unnecessary oversized components.
Rather than simply adding material, the ladder is engineered around efficient load paths and a compact structure, helping keep overall weight under control while maintaining the solid feel expected from an expedition-grade ladder.
This makes it well suited to Grenadier owners who want the ruggedness of steel without an unnecessarily bulky rear-door accessory.
6. Precision Clearance & Paint Protection
The ladder is engineered with appropriate clearance between the structure and the vehicle body.
Its vehicle-specific geometry helps minimize unwanted contact with painted surfaces while maintaining clearance around important rear-door components.
The design also takes into consideration the Grenadier’s rear lights, spare tire, door operation, and surrounding bodywork.
The goal is simple: add useful exterior storage and roof access without compromising the clean, purposeful design of the vehicle.
7. Built for Off-Road & Overland Travel
A Grenadier accessory needs to perform beyond the parking lot.
This ladder is designed for environments where equipment is regularly exposed to:
- Corrugated roads
- Gravel
- Mud
- Dust
- Rain
- Snow
- Remote trails
- Repeated vehicle vibration
- Long-distance touring
The combination of high-strength premium steel and a durable textured powder-coated finish creates a rugged exterior accessory suited to daily use as well as serious expedition travel.
Why Choose High-Strength Premium Steel?
Aluminum is commonly associated with lightweight construction, but material weight alone does not determine the final weight or performance of a finished ladder.
For a structure that must remain rigid under climbing loads and repeated off-road vibration, aluminum designs may require larger or thicker structural sections to achieve the desired stiffness.
By using high-strength premium steel, our ladder can achieve excellent structural rigidity through a compact and efficiently engineered design.
This provides several important benefits:
- Excellent strength and rigidity
- Stable feel while climbing
- Durable construction for rough-road use
- Compact structural sections
- Weight-conscious engineering
- Long-term resistance to repeated loading
- Premium, solid feel
- Reliable support for overlanding and expedition use
The objective is not simply to make the ladder heavy or overbuilt. It is to use the right material in the right places to achieve the best balance of strength, durability, rigidity, and practical weight.
Integrated Fuel Storage for Extended Range
Fuel consumption can increase significantly when driving off-road, especially during low-range driving, steep climbs, sand, mud, towing, or heavily loaded expedition travel.
The integrated Jerry Can holder gives Grenadier owners a convenient way to carry reserve fuel externally.
A standard 20L Jerry Can can provide valuable additional range between fuel stops, particularly when travelling through remote areas where service stations are limited or unreliable.
The carrier can also be used for compatible water containers when additional drinking, cooking, or camp water is required.
This makes the system ideal for:
- Overlanding
- 4x4 touring
- Off-grid camping
- Desert travel
- Remote expeditions
- Long-distance road trips
- Backcountry exploration
