GC2 Battery Lifting Strap & Carrier
Safe battery removal accessory
GC2 Battery Lifting Strap & Carrier | Safely Remove & Install Batteries
A simple GC2 battery lifter and battery carrier strap for safer golf cart, RV, and deep-cycle battery handling.
Removing 60 to 70 lb lead-acid batteries from cramped golf cart trays, RV compartments, and deep-cycle battery boxes can be rough on your back, hands, and battery cables. The Epoch battery strap gives DIYers, mechanics, and RV owners a safer way to lift compatible GC2 batteries straight up from the top, helping prevent dropped batteries, pinched fingers, and awkward side-grip lifting.
Built for safer battery handling
Save Your Back: The Essential Battery Removal Tool
Make routine maintenance, RV battery swaps, and lithium golf cart upgrades easier.
Whether you are replacing worn-out golf cart batteries, pulling RV house batteries for service, or upgrading a cart to lithium, a safe battery removal tool makes the job faster and less painful. This GC2 battery lifting strap helps turn an awkward two-handed side grip into a controlled top lift.
The strap is especially useful when removing old lead-acid batteries before installing lightweight Epoch lithium batteries. Even if your new lithium battery is easier to handle, the old GC2 bank still has to come out first.
Purpose-Built for GC2 Batteries
The bracket-style ends are designed to engage the molded lifting tabs found on many standard GC2 golf cart and RV deep-cycle batteries, giving users a secure top-lift point when the battery case is compatible.
Heavy-Duty, Slip-Resistant Grip
Dropping a lead-acid battery can damage the case, cables, tray, or surrounding equipment. A dedicated battery carrying handle helps keep tension centered and controlled while lifting compatible GC2 batteries.
Protects Your Hands & Fingers
Golf cart and RV battery compartments are often tight. A top-lift strap helps keep fingers away from pinch points between neighboring batteries, tray walls, hold-down brackets, and cable hardware.
Perfect for Golf Carts, RVs & Off-Grid Upgrades
A practical tool for replacing lead-acid golf cart batteries and safely installing RV deep-cycle batteries.
- ✓ Removing old lead-acid GC2 golf cart batteries before a lithium conversion.
- ✓ Replacing lead-acid golf cart batteries in 36V, 48V, and 72V battery banks.
- ✓ Safely installing RV deep-cycle house batteries in tight tongue boxes or step-well compartments.
- ✓ Handling compatible GC2 batteries in floor sweepers, scissor lifts, solar banks, and utility equipment.
- ✓ DIY battery maintenance where a secure top-lift battery carrying handle is safer than grabbing battery sides.
- ✓ Cross-selling with lithium golf cart battery kits, RV lithium upgrades, and off-grid battery-bank projects.
Effortless Golf Cart Upgrades
Upgrading a 48V cart can mean hauling out six heavy 8V batteries before installing a lithium kit. This golf cart battery strap helps clear the old lead-acid battery bank more safely and with less strain.
Easy RV Compartment Access
RV batteries are often tucked deep inside tongue boxes, step wells, or side compartments. A top-lift battery carrier gives you leverage to lift straight up without scraping hands or fighting the tray walls.
Product benefits
Compact tool, big difference during battery removal and installation.

Upgrading to lithium?
Don’t forget: the old batteries still need to come out first.
Epoch lithium batteries are lighter, cleaner, and easier to live with than old lead-acid banks, but a safe removal tool can make the first step of the conversion much easier. Add this Epoch battery strap to your golf cart, RV, or shop order so you are ready when the lead-acid bank comes out.
GC2 Battery Lifting Strap FAQs
Common questions about GC2 fitment, battery removal, RV compartments, and safe lifting.
What is a GC2 battery, and will this strap fit it?
GC2 is a common deep-cycle battery form factor used in many golf carts, RV house-battery banks, floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, and solar banks. This GC2 battery lifting strap is intended for batteries with standard molded lifting tabs on the top edges. If your battery has those molded tabs, the strap brackets are designed to clip onto them for safer lifting.
Do I need this strap if I am buying a lightweight Epoch lithium battery?
Yes, it is still a smart add-on. Even if your new Epoch lithium battery is much lighter and easier to handle, you still need to remove the old lead-acid batteries first. Traditional GC2 lead-acid batteries can be heavy and awkward to remove from tight trays, so a battery carrier strap helps protect your back, hands, and battery compartment during the swap.
How does the battery lifting strap attach?
The strap uses two purpose-built brackets that hook onto the molded lifting tabs on compatible GC2 batteries. Slide the brackets onto the tabs, center the strap, and lift straight up with controlled tension. Always confirm both brackets are fully seated before lifting.
Can I use this strap on a standard car battery?
Usually, no. Most standard automotive starting batteries do not have the GC2-style molded lifting tabs that this strap requires. This strap is purpose-built for deep-cycle GC2-style batteries commonly used in golf carts, RVs, floor sweepers, scissor lifts, and similar equipment.
Is the strap strong enough to lift a 70 lb battery?
This strap is built for the heavy deep-cycle GC2 batteries typically found in golf carts and RVs. Always inspect the strap, brackets, and battery tabs before each lift. Do not use the strap on cracked, damaged, swollen, leaking, or non-compatible batteries.
Can one person remove golf cart batteries with this strap?
Many battery swaps become much easier with a strap because it lets you lift straight up from above the battery instead of pinching the sides in a cramped tray. However, battery weight, tray depth, body position, and user strength vary, so use a second person whenever the battery feels unsafe to handle alone.
Will this help with RV battery compartments?
Yes. RV house batteries are often tucked into tongue boxes, step wells, or tight side compartments. A battery carrying handle gives you more leverage and helps keep your fingers away from pinch points when lifting compatible GC2 batteries out of deep compartments.
Can I use this on lithium batteries too?
You can use it only if the lithium battery has compatible GC2-style molded lifting tabs that securely engage with the strap brackets. Many lithium batteries are lighter and may use different case designs, so always verify case compatibility before lifting.
