Epoch Battery Tray (12460A-H) (24230A-H)
Large-format lithium battery securement
Epoch Essentials 12V 460Ah, 24V 230Ah Battery Tray & Mount (For 12460A-H, 24230A-H)
A purpose-built heavy-duty lithium battery tray for securing the Epoch Essentials 12V 460Ah battery in RV, van, marine, and off-grid electrical bays.
The Epoch Essentials 12V 460Ah battery tray gives installers a cleaner way to secure a massive high-capacity lithium battery. Built for the 12460A-H footprint and also listed for the 24230A-H battery, this 12V 460Ah battery mount helps keep your power bank seated in camper vans, RV house banks, marine compartments, skoolies, and off-grid electrical bays without relying on generic, undersized auto-parts trays.
Built for serious mobile battery banks
Secure Your Massive Off-Grid Power Bank
A 460Ah lithium battery is too valuable to leave unsecured.
The Epoch 12V 460Ah Essentials battery is a serious off-grid power solution, but its large physical footprint and 84 lb weight mean it must be secured correctly in a moving vehicle or vessel. This heavy-duty lithium battery tray is designed to help prevent battery movement in mobile environments where vibration, rough roads, waves, and hard stops can stress cables and terminals.
Use it as a purpose-built 12460A-H battery tray in camper vans, RV electrical bays, marine house banks, and custom solar builds where a secure mounting solution matters as much as battery capacity.
Custom-Fit for the Epoch Essentials 12460A-H
This tray is listed for the Epoch 12460A-H battery and the compatible 24230A-H footprint. It is designed around Epoch’s large-format battery platform, helping eliminate improvisation and create a cleaner, more professional installation than universal trays.
Stop Dangerous Battery Movement
Whether you are driving a skoolie across washboard roads or running through rough water in a boat, a loose battery can stress terminals, chafe cables, damage internal components, and create electrical hazards. A properly installed tray and strap system helps keep the battery planted.
Built for Vans, RVs, and Marine House Banks
Low-profile securement for tight electrical bays and high-capacity lithium installs.
Large-format batteries are often installed under van beds, inside bench cabinets, in RV storage bays, or in marine house battery compartments. This low-profile tray format helps save space compared with a bulky enclosed box while keeping terminal access, airflow, cable routing, and future serviceability in mind.
Heavy-Duty Base & Reinforced Tie-Downs
Product images show a rigid mounting base, strap-style hold-down, and mounting hardware. The tray should be fastened into a strong surface, then the strap should be tightened over the battery to help keep it seated during vibration and movement.
Space-Saving, Low-Profile Design
A tray can be a smarter choice than a full battery box in many LiFePO4 house-bank installations. The open layout saves height, improves access to terminals, helps ambient airflow around the case, and makes inspection easier.

Conversion image recommendation
Add a dimensioned top-down diagram for van and RV builders.
For best conversion rates, add a product carousel image showing internal length, internal width, overall external length, and overall external width. Van builders and RV installers plan electrical bays down to the inch, so a simple schematic with arrows will reduce uncertainty and returns.

Secure mounting matters
The tray is one part of a safe battery installation.
A secure electrical bay also requires proper fasteners, a strong mounting surface, strain-relieved cables, terminal protection, overcurrent protection, ventilation clearance, and regular inspection. Do not rely on the tray alone if your installation requires additional restraints under local code, marine standards, or installer guidance.
Epoch 12V 460Ah Battery Tray FAQs
Common questions about compatibility, dimensions, securement, marine use, and battery boxes.
Which specific battery is this tray designed for?
This tray is designed for the Epoch Essentials 12V 460Ah lithium battery, internal SKU 12460A-H. The live product title also lists compatibility with 24230A-H. It is intended to provide a purpose-built mounting solution for that large-format Epoch battery footprint.
What are the exact dimensions of this battery tray?
The live product page does not publish exact internal or external tray dimensions. For layout planning, the compatible Epoch 12460A-H battery measures 20.55 inches long by 9.45 inches wide by 8.60 inches high. Leave extra room for the tray lip, strap clearance, cable bend radius, terminal access, and service clearance.
How does this tray hold such a large battery in place?
The product images show a rigid mounting tray/base with a strap-style hold-down and mounting hardware. The tray should be fastened securely to a strong floor, deck, shelf, or battery platform, then the strap should be tightened over the battery to help keep the battery seated during normal RV, van, and marine movement.
Can I use this in an off-road RV or boat?
Yes, this tray is intended for mobile electrical-bay use when installed correctly. Final safety depends on the strength of the mounting surface, fastener choice, strap tension, cable strain relief, and battery-compartment design. For off-road or marine use, inspect mounting hardware regularly and secure cables to prevent chafing.
Will this tray meet Coast Guard requirements for marine use?
Federal boat battery rules require installed batteries to be secured so they cannot move more than one inch in any direction under the required test force. This tray can help create a secure marine installation, but final compliance depends on how it is fastened to the boat and how the battery terminals and nearby components are protected.
Do I need a full battery box instead of a tray?
For many modern LiFePO4 house batteries, a low-profile tray is often preferred because it saves space, improves terminal access, and allows better ambient airflow around the case. A full enclosed box may still be required by your installer, application, or local code depending on the environment and system design.
Does the tray include straps and hardware?
The official product images show a strap-style hold-down and mounting screws or hardware with the tray kit. Because the live page does not publish a formal packing list, verify the exact contents at the time of purchase if your installation requires specific fasteners or hardware types.
Can I use this tray for other batteries?
This tray is sold for the Epoch 12460A-H and 24230A-H footprint. Other batteries may not align correctly with the tray lips, strap position, or mounting clearances. Measure your battery carefully and confirm compatibility before using it with a non-listed model.
