Complete 72V lithium golf cart conversion kit
Upgrade your 72V cart with a high-output LiFePO4 power system engineered for stronger acceleration, steadier voltage, and extended range.
The Epoch 72V 105Ah lithium golf cart battery kit delivers 7.39kWh (7,392Wh) of stored energy in one complete conversion package. Built for custom carts and performance-minded drivers, this Big Box Series kit (model BB72105A-Kit) replaces a bank of six lead-acid batteries with one 70.4V LiFePO4 battery and includes a 72V 15A lithium charger, a battery gauge, and a 12V converter, with Epoch Li-Ion app monitoring and IP67 protection.
A lightweight 72V battery upgrade built to transform cart performance.
Heavy lead-acid banks make 72V carts feel sluggish, especially under hard acceleration, hill climbs, or passenger load. Replacing six bulky lead-acid batteries with one lithium golf cart conversion kit can remove significant weight from the chassis, improving power-to-weight ratio, handling feel, braking load, and overall drivability.
Because LiFePO4 delivers a flatter voltage curve than lead-acid, the cart receives more consistent power as the battery discharges. That means less voltage sag, stronger pull under load, and a more consistent driving experience from the beginning of the ride to the end.
The LiFePO4 flat voltage curve helps maintain stronger power delivery compared with lead-acid batteries that steadily lose voltage as they drain. It is a major advantage for drivers who want reliable torque, speed consistency, and predictable performance.
This 72V golf cart conversion kit includes the battery, a 72V 15A lithium charger, a battery gauge, and a 12V converter: the core components for a cleaner lithium conversion. Mounting brackets are not included, and only authorized mechanics or technicians should install the battery.
Built-in Bluetooth connects to the free Epoch Li-Ion app for iOS and Android, so you can check state of charge, voltage, current flow, temperature, and battery status from your phone and install firmware updates over the air.
High current output, complete kit hardware, and sealed durability.
Designed for high-output 72V lithium golf cart conversions.

Fully dustproof and protected for rugged cart environments.
The IP67 enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. IP67 covers dust and temporary immersion only: do not pressure-wash the battery, avoid locations where water can pool around terminals or connectors, route cables properly, mount the battery securely, and inspect the battery and connectors after any immersion.
Common questions about speed, range, charging, installation, Bluetooth, and lithium conversion compatibility.
Upgrading to this 72V lithium golf cart battery can noticeably improve acceleration, hill-climbing feel, and power consistency by removing significant lead-acid weight and maintaining a flatter LiFePO4 voltage curve as the battery discharges. Actual top speed depends on your cart, controller, motor, tire size, programming, terrain, and total load.
Yes, this kit is built for high-performance 72V golf cart applications with a 250A maximum continuous discharge rating, 500A for up to 15 seconds, and 1,000A for up to 2 seconds. Always confirm your controller settings, motor demand, cable sizing, and fuse protection stay within Epoch's published BMS limits.
Range and speed depend on the full cart build: cart weight, passenger load, tire size, terrain, speed, controller tune, and driving habits. Performance-focused users often target 40 to 50 miles in favorable conditions. For more runtime, two matched batteries can be connected in parallel for 210Ah and 14,784Wh.
No. This complete 72V golf cart conversion kit includes a 72V 15A lithium charger, along with a battery gauge and 12V converter, and the included charger charges the battery from empty in about 7 hours. Stop using lead-acid chargers unless they are specifically approved and programmed for this battery's LiFePO4 charging requirements.
About 7 hours from empty with the included 72V 15A lithium charger. Charge after each day's use, or at least once a week with occasional use, and avoid letting the state of charge fall below 20%. If the charger stays connected, it restarts charging when the state of charge drops below about 95%, but disconnect it once the battery is full rather than leaving it plugged in for long periods.
No. This battery is not self-heated, and the BMS blocks charging outside 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F), so let a cold battery warm above freezing before charging. It can discharge from -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F).
Installation should be done by an authorized mechanic or technician, following the steps in the user manual: remove the entire lead-acid bank, prepare hold-down hardware rated for the battery's 132 lb (60 kg) weight (mounting brackets are not included), install the charger, mount the battery gauge (and the on/off switch, if supplied) on the dashboard, route the wiring harness, secure the battery, connect the charger and the cart's main cables observing polarity, and install the 12V converter for the 12V accessory circuits. Then turn the battery on, confirm the gauge shows the state of charge, and charge it before first use if the charge is low. A main fuse or DC-rated breaker close to the battery positive terminal is required and is not part of the kit.
Yes, in parallel only. This model supports up to two batteries in parallel, which create a 72V-class bank with 210Ah of capacity and 14.784kWh of stored energy. Do not wire these batteries in series. Use matched BB72105A-Kit batteries of similar age, condition, and firmware at the same state of charge, with equal-length cables and a fuse on each battery branch.
Yes. The battery's built-in Bluetooth connects to the free Epoch Li-Ion app for iOS and Android, so you can check state of charge, voltage, current flow, temperature, and battery status from your phone and install firmware updates over the air. The included battery gauge shows the state of charge and warnings on the dashboard.
Yes. The battery is rated IP67, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. IP67 covers dust and temporary immersion only, so do not pressure-wash the battery, install it securely, avoid locations where water can pool around terminals or connectors, and inspect it after any immersion.
No. Do not mix lithium and lead-acid batteries in the same golf cart battery bank. Their voltage curves, charging requirements, and internal resistance are different. Replace the lead-acid bank completely with the lithium kit and use compatible charging equipment.
