12V 460Ah deep cycle · 5.89kWh storage · IP67 heated lithium
The Epoch 12V 460Ah LiFePO4 battery is a Victron compatible lithium battery built for serious RV, marine, and off-grid solar systems. With 5.89kWh lithium storage, native Victron CANBUS comms, an IP67 dust-tight and immersion-rated case, internal heating, Bluetooth monitoring, and 230A continuous output, this 12V 460Ah deep cycle battery gives advanced system builders a powerful single-case alternative to wiring multiple smaller batteries together.
A premium 12V battery for Cerbo GX, Ekrano GX, and compatible Victron-based power systems.
For advanced RV, marine, and off-grid installers, Victron integration is one of the biggest reasons to choose this Epoch V2 Elite battery. The battery’s BMS CAN communication is designed to connect with compatible Victron GX devices, helping your system see battery status, alarms, and BMS-managed charging behavior from the Victron ecosystem.
When configured correctly with the proper cable, DIP switch settings, and DVCC setup, this Victron compatible lithium battery helps reduce guesswork in complex power systems while still giving you app-based Bluetooth monitoring as a secondary battery dashboard.
Instead of building a bank from four or more smaller 100Ah-class batteries, this Epoch 12V 460Ah battery gives you 5,888Wh / 5.89kWh of nominal stored energy in one 20.86 × 8.65 × 12.06 in case with one BMS. Fewer batteries means fewer interconnect cables, fewer resistance points, cleaner routing, and more usable cargo space in an RV, boat, van, or off-grid enclosure.
LiFePO4 cells must not be charged below 0°C (32°F). When shore power, solar, an alternator charger or an inverter/charger starts charging and the cells are too cold, the BMS holds off normal charging while the internal heater, powered by the charge source, warms the cells; charging resumes once they reach 5°C (41°F). With self-heating, charging is supported from -30°C (-22°F) ambient, and discharge is available down to -20°C (-4°F) without heating.
The sealed IP67 case is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion, so install it where it stays dry in normal use, with all harness connectors fully seated. Bluetooth 4.0 monitoring through the included battery gauge shows state of charge, voltage, current, cell voltages, temperatures and warnings in the Epoch Li-Ion app, which also installs firmware updates over the air.
Built for installers who need capacity, communication, waterproofing, and clean integration.
High-output storage with smart BMS protection and ecosystem compatibility.
Native Victron CANBUS comms, Bluetooth visibility, and one large-format BMS-managed pack.
The Epoch 12V 460Ah V2 Elite is not just a high-capacity battery. It is a system component designed for premium power builds where communication, monitoring, IP67 sealing, cold-weather charging, safety components, and clean installation matter. Use it as the center of a serious 12V RV battery upgrade, 12V marine lithium battery bank, or off-grid 12V solar battery system.
Complete technical details for the Epoch 12V 460Ah V2 Elite Series LiFePO4 Battery.
Verify the full electrical system before installation.
Always confirm tray fit, hold-down and lid clearance (especially when replacing a Group 8D lead-acid battery), cable clearance, terminal torque (8–12 N·m), inverter size, overcurrent protection (a DC-rated fuse or breaker close to the battery positive; the internal 400A fuse does not replace it), busbar ratings, charger compatibility, alternator charging strategy, and communication setup before installation. For Victron-integrated systems, follow Epoch’s communication harness, DIP switch, DVCC, and GX device setup instructions. For series or parallel banks, use matched batteries of the same model, age, capacity, and state of charge.
Common questions about Victron integration, parallel expansion, high-output loads, and big-bank design.
For a single battery, no. The included communication harness has a grey RJ45 plug that goes into the GX device’s BMS-CAN port (Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX); on a Cerbo GX Mk2, use VE.Can 1 or VE.Can 2 and set the port speed to 500 kbit/s. For a bank, add RJ45 cables that link each battery’s black port to the next battery’s blue port, up to 16 batteries in parallel. Set the DIP switches on every battery, then turn on DVCC and set the controlling BMS and the battery monitor to Epoch before commissioning the system.
Yes. This battery supports large system expansion when installed according to Epoch guidelines. You can connect up to 16 batteries in parallel for higher amp-hour capacity, such as two batteries for 920Ah / 11.78kWh of nominal storage. Use matched batteries, balanced cabling, properly sized busbars, fusing, and lithium-compatible charging equipment.
The Epoch 12V 460Ah V2 Elite battery is rated for 230A maximum continuous discharge, with 500A discharge for 30 seconds and 1,300A peak output for 1 second. In a properly designed 12V system, that makes it suitable for large inverter-class loads, marine house banks, RV power systems, and off-grid storage. Always size cables, fuses, busbars, and inverters around the full system current.
A single 460Ah battery can simplify large 12V systems by reducing the number of interconnect cables, terminals, parallel balance points, and physical batteries required. Instead of building a bank from several 100Ah-class batteries, one high-capacity battery gives you 5.89kWh of storage in one managed case with one BMS, Bluetooth monitoring, Victron communication, internal heating, and IP67 protection.
